Join us for an unforgettable day of art , expression , and liberation at Sappho’s Violet Rapture—a queer experience that blends the magic of burlesque , the pulse of underground rave culture , and the power of queer creativity . Hosted by The Violet Hour SLC, Salt Lake City’s first Black-owned lesbian bar, this one-night-only event offers a sample of what’s to come when our doors officially open.

This is not our grand opening—but it is your exclusive invitation into our world. Sappho’s Violet Rapture is a curated preview of the energy , community , and unapologetic queerness The Violet Hour will bring to Utah’s nightlife scene. Expect live DJ sets, jaw-dropping burlesque performances, immersive lighting, and dance floor moments designed for divine feminine energy and its fiercest admirers.

Rave Dress Code:

While you can show up however you feel best, we highly encourage you to dress the part—burlesque or rave-inspired looks are more than welcome! Rock your best in purple , white , silver , or black to match the Violet Rapture vibe. Glitter , mesh , lace, leather, or LED lights —we love it all.
